The Telemedicine platform
The operation of the Telemedicine platform is a joint collaboration between the Programme and the Association for Ukraine Telemedicine and eHealth Development (AfUTeHD). The AfUTeHD operates and maintains the technical infrastructure and provides support for any individuals or groups who would like to apply Telemedicine in their clinical environment. Access and use of the platform is free of charge and all parties are invited to make the network grow.
The technical implementation is based on an open source software platform called iPath (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ipath/). iPath is a web application consisting of a data base, a structured user interface and communication features. The basic technical infrastructure required consists of a personal computer, internet access and a digital camera.
In order to become member of an existing discussion group or to establish a new own discussion group you need to register to iPath first. While clicking on the below image you will be redirected to the official home page of the Ukrainian iPath Telemedicine platform.
