Swiss Development Cooperation
The Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) is the funding agency of the Mother and Child Health Programme.
Since the early nineties, Switzerland has been involved in bilateral and multilateral projects in Ukraine designed to facilitate the transition to a market-based economy and to strengthen new democratic institutions. The Swiss cooperation programmes in Ukraine focus their support on four major areas:
- Health, with a focus on Reproductive Health (including Mother and Child Health),
- The Rule of Law and Democracy, with a focus on the Justice System; and Public Sector Reforms (including Decentralisation),
- Agriculture and Rural Development with a focus on Rural Production Systems,
- Private Sector Development and the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises.
