Information and Communication Technologies
Information and Communication technologies (ICT’s) are being utilised to enhance the know-how and learning abilities of health workers. Further they provide powerful managerial tools to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of health systems. Some ICT applications are being introduced and tested in the field of maternal and child health care in the scope of the Programme. For example, Telemedicine is one means to reduce professional isolation and enable the access to global expertise and information (ipath.ukma.kiev.ua). eLearning modules are being developed and tested as a tool to support and enhance training activities. Finally, the web based exchange platform will serve as central node for an active Knowledge Management within the whole Programme.
