eLearning

Taking into consideration the rapid change in knowledge and the big challenges in spreading this new knowledge in a resource constraint and vertically organised health system like the Ukrainian new formats for the medical education of health staff are needed. The use of Information & Communication Technologies is one mean to foster continuous medical education and complement the standard ways of knowledge dissemination.

In the frame of the Ukraine Swiss Mother and Child Health Programme a model for the creation of eLearning modules has been elaborated and tested.

In collaboration with the National Medical Academy for Post Graduate Education (NMAPE) and the Volyn Children Hospital, an interactive learning software has been developed. The software transforms the administrative order (NAKAZ) for the "Normal Delivery" into a practice oriented tool with practical information for the clinical application. The software is available on CD and can be ordered using the contact form. The software is elaborated and disseminated under the open software development concept and available for free. No commercial use whatsoever is permitted.
